91 WAYS

We helped with 91 Way’s fundraising Diwali ‘Festival of Light’ Celebratory Supper Club in November 2024 where all proceeds went towards their ongoing projects with Bristol communities.

In 2022 Team Canteen hosted a Sunday Lunch Fundraiser in conjunction with 91 Ways who are a community-focused social enterprise named after the number of different languages spoken in the city.  The event celebrated the launch of their cookbook ‘Eat Share Love’ - a collection of 91 beautiful recipes and the compelling personal stories behind them.  More info about 91 Ways here.

ACH

We were proud to be a part of the ACH Welcome Party in November 2024. We helped the brilliant guest chefs Nessi Cuisine, Ceylon and Beyond , Salah’s Kitchen and Afghan Bristol Cuisine to deliver their incredible food to a room packed full of business leaders, supporters & community leaders to celebrate the positive impact that diversity, refugees, people seeking asylum and vulnerable migrants have in Bristol and beyond.

Produced by We Are Plaster & hosted by mega talent Mo Yah who conducted a beautifully honest interview with Sir Mo Farah during dinner- it was a truly special evening

Food Justice Summer Supper Club

We hosted a one-off fundraiser in in July 2023 alongside the charities Feeding Bristol and Moveable Feast in support of food justice. Held at Emmeline on Spike Island, the event featured a 3-course meal and a refreshing welcome drink. Proceeds from the evening supported the charities in their efforts to improve food equality in Bristol

BREAKING BREAD

During 2021, Team Canteen operated as a physical space at Breaking Bread (a largely outdoor socially distanced hospitality venue set up in response to Covid).  It had a fully kitted kitchen and an ample dining area, the space was available to independent businesses and charities such as 91 Ways, The Mazi Project, Jikoni and Houria Catering. This was provided at cost or for free, and hosted frequent pop-up evenings celebrating a diverse range of cuisines as well as s place to prepare community veg boxes for people in need during the pandemic.
